Just a small note of thanks for the excellent non formal but very thorough training i rec'vd from motorcycle wales. It was a difficult few days with the weather conditions but the professional manner in wich the training was conducted should be highly accredited. Many thanks once again, and wishing you every due success for the future...
Regards.......

Hi Geth/Jo, I Passed! Just a quick email to say thank you for everything. From start to finish, all went well, bikes , equipment (tho scarce on day 1 due to high number of CBT students & there was NO WAY I was going to wear one of your "Storm Trooper" helmets!) rides, instruction and cost. I spoke to Steve (the other student on DAS) and we both agreed that Gareth was a superb instructor - a credit to MTW. at all times he was professional and gave sound advice and instruction - he even managed to get me competent in the turn in the road!!!! I have taken a couple of laminated posters for work as we have an active bike club (fair weather!)

Thanks again and please pass on my thanks to Gareth also. Have a great Christmas.

Just a message of thanks!
Having now got'en through my test, I can relax and get on with the enjoyment of motorbiking.
However I won't forget it's thanks to all the skilled training and confidence building that you people provided.
Thanks again for the exceptionally warm & friendly instruction, particularly for Clive's perseverance, not forgetting the lovely Louise who was there when I passed the test. Right from first contact,(the telephone girl, I never met) to the end, you provided an excellent service, something this area has been wanting for a long time, I'm sorry now I put off the whole thing for almost a year.
I will recommend your school to any would-be motorbik'er everytime, not a bad web page either! Impressive.
With grateful thanks,

Mark.

A huge thank you to Gethin, Gareth, Dai and Jo.
All of you have been fantastic and have made my training informative and very enjoyable from CBT to test day.
I can't thank you enough and will not hesitate to recommend you in the future.
Many, many thanks.
Stuart Beamand.
(see you soon for an advanced course)

Hi All,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your help in getting through my CBT and Direct Access Test. Everyone I came into contact with was extremely friendly, helpful and totally professional and put me at ease straight away.
It was a pleasure to be instructed by true professionals and use new motorcycles and equipment which was obviously maintained to the highest standards. Special thanks to Jo for managing to arrange the lessons and Test for convenient times as well as to Gethin and Paul for having the patience to provide constructive positive instructions, making it easier to learn all that needs to be remembered to ride safely and professionally on the roads.
(Although Paul could benefit from some singing lessons!) I was almost sorry to pass my Direct Access Test first time, as this meant the end of the lessons - I can honestly say that these lessons were extremely enjoyable and good fun, all in all, an excellent learning experience. I have already recommended you to a number of friends who have expressed an interest in passing the motorcycle test and I will continue to do so as I do not believe they would get better instruction or better service anywhere else.
Best regards, Andrew Williams
P.S.On my Christmas list for this year I will be asking my wife for some Advanced Training, so I will be back for more.

Hi Jo,
Just a quick message to say thanks to everyone involved in helping me pass my direct access. I couldn't fault the training given,(must have been good for me to pass first time). I had a great time and met some good friends at the same time.
Thanks
Dean.

Hi,
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at MTW.
From the initial contact with the lovely Jo, who makes you feel at ease.
To Gethin with the patience of a saint.
For anyone considering taking their bike test, look no further than MTW.
I've looked at the rest and they don't even come close to the professionalism
of Gethin, Gareth, Dave and Louise.
From CBT to DAS, MTW have given me the confidence to tackle the roads on my first 'big bike'.
Can't wait to book my advanced coarse.

Regards,
Andrew Gronow.

Dear All,
Can I take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and well directed tuition, without which I would not have passed my test.
I was wondering, am I the only student of yours to spill his motorcycle before a test then go on to pass?????.
Dai, give me a few days (So I can tax and insure the Dolly Deauville) and I will let you know how the touring wind screen is getting on.Roll on Bosnia !!!!!!.
Geraint & Gareth, without you two (and you Dai) I don't think I would have got to my test stage let alone pass it, but give me roughly 18 to 24 months and I will be back for my advanced, Dai will be back from Bosnia by then and he can tell a few tales by the camp fire.
Many thanks again for your help and support.

I would reconmend you to anyone who is thinking of bike training. Please also pass on my thanks to Joanne for the professional way she delt with all my calls, as well as the sound advice on what to do in order to start my biking career. I hope I never see you in your professional line of employment, but would like to buy you a pint if I see you around sometime. Finally, I am enjoying my CBR600, which was well worth the wait!

from mike davison - the born again biker.

dear gethin and gareth
having appreciated owning a high powered motorbike comes with a duty and a responsibility to ensure in control of the machine rather than the other way around,it is often over-looked that advanced training is needed with advanced machinary.
knowing where to get it is another matter.for this reason i wish to extend my utmost appreciation and gratitude to MOTORCYCLE TRAINING WALES. your accomplishments are reflected in the fact that i have made myself a better and safer rider.my road awareness skills are immensely improvedas are both my gearing and positional sense.
having under-taken 2 courses with " MTW" it is obvious you are both two top class instructors.as seen between the standard of my riding between the first and the second.whilst obviously it is a litle bit dis-concerting having a nice police-man as a pillion!!!( gethin were you really that close ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!)when i (purposely ) forgot you were there,i was able to put into practice new found skills. taking bends in the wet, maintaining the correct line and keeping the speed up is what i wanted to learn and now i have.my next objective is to put into practice the training and correcting of my errors.you have not seen the last of me.I'LL BE BACK!!
a better structured course would be hard to find and i shall encourage others to attend.
thanks again! allan

Subject: The impossibility at the outset became a reality in the end. Dear Gethin and Jo,
This is just to let you know how deeply grateful I am for everything that you have done. When I passed my Big Bike Test yesterday I was as thrilled as I have ever been in my life. My wife and children are equally as thrilled as well. I would never have achieved it without all of Gethin's and Gareth's patient, persistent and systematically expert instruction and encouragement. I am living proof that they are able to convert a complete and absolute incompetent rider into a confident and Test-passed biker within a remarkably short period of time. Before my CBT day with you in late September 2002 - even though I am 50 years' old - I had never put my backside on a m/bike and wasn't greatly capable on a pedal-cycle. On the CBT, Phil - quite rightly and sensibly - didn't run rhe risk of taking me out on a 125, only a scooter. That was almost a disaster when I just managed to avoid wrapping into a car on Power-Station Hill! Then came the intensive DAS days in December with Geth and Gar on the "warhorse" ER 500 when every single technique was put to right. Rhoss - my son, who did his training with me under you - sailed through his Test first time in December, as I should have done if I hadn't overlooked stupidly committed "faults" which you had drummed into me to avoid. But that's history now. Come yesterday - a date superbly organised by Jo to fit in with my work schedule - everything came right, due to all your efforts.Quite apart from all the outstanding tuition and encouragement under Geth and Gar there has also been the pleasure of enjoying the great and sincere friendship, empathy and camaraderie which builds up with them from Day 1. Here is one of your eternally thankful and successful candidates signing off with an attached photograph (click here) which I shall always be proud to possess : Gethin and myself within a minute of my Pass. Will be in touch with you soon regarding you coming up to our house for a meal and a few drinks.
Diolch yn fawr i chi gyd ( Geth, Gar, Jo, Phil a Steve).
Pob hwyl,
Leighton.

To all at Motorcycle Training Wales
Just a line to express my thanks for the help and tuition I received while attending your Direct Access riding programme. As a lecturer at Pontypridd College, I feel qualified to comment on the standard of tuition available at your venue. The instructors are knowledgeable and supportive, and full of advice on almost all aspects of motorcycling. The teaching methods employed are of the highest quality, in that they can turn a complete novice such as myself into a person capable and confident enough to take and pass a test at the first attempt, after only three days of training (inclusive of CBT). Comparative conversations with friends and colleagues indicate the high standard of the facilities available and I can only express my complete personal satisfaction with the equipment and environment I experienced. Please accept my grateful thanks.

Your sincerely,

G. Morris.
